YOU ARE HERE: Sonicare Home Owners Brush Features Easy-start

Easy-start

About Easy-start

Because the sensation created by Sonicare's dynamic fluid action is so unique, Sonicare has a feature that let's you get accustomed to it over the first 12-14 uses. All Sonicare models come with the Easy-start feature activated, which helps you adjust to brushing with Sonicare.

How it Works

The Easy-start feature is active on your brush if you hear 2 beeps immediately after turning on your Sonicare. Once you reach optimal brushing power (after the 12 th or14th brushing, depending on the model), you will no longer hear the double beeping at the beginning of your brushing routine.

Each of the initial brushings must be at least 1 minute in length to properly advance through the Easy-start ramp-up cycle.

To deactivate Easy-start:

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds. You will hear 1 beep to signal the Easy-start feature is deactivated.

To reactivate Easy-start:

Press and hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps. This indicates the Easy-start is active again. This allows new users of an older brush handle to take advantage of Easy-start.

Note: It is not recommended that a person brush beyond the initial ramp-up period with Easy-start activated as it reduces Sonicare's effectiveness in removing plaque.

Benefits

Easy-start allows new Sonicare users to acclimate themselves to the unique cleaning sensation of Sonicare technology.
